Artist Talk & Workshop with John Brady McDonald

The Melfort Arts Council is pleased to offer this one-day workshop that will include an artist’s talk with award-winning Nehiyawak-Metis multidisciplinary artist and writer John Brady McDonald, where he will give a presentation and walk through of his OSAC Exhibition “Omentum,” explaining each painting and the process of how it was created.

This will be followed with an opportunity for participants to create their own paintings, with an introductory lecture by John about contemporary Indigenous art.

Please be advised that this exhibition covers topics such as childhood trauma, racism, murder, Residential Schools and bullying.
