Spring Into Painting!

Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly all-ages painting workshop led by Anna Bolen, MAC’s social media coordinator. You will be painting spring-related themes of your choice. This relaxed session is perfect for families, kids, and adults with no prior art experience. Learn basic techniques, explore your creativity, and leave with a finished canvas to take home!

What’s Included:

All art supplies provided, (one canvas, multiple paint brushes, containers to hold water and acrylic paints). Just wear mess-friendly clothing and bring a water bottle or snack if you’d like.

Beginner pacing, simplified options for younger participants, wheelchair-accessible venue, and breaks as needed.

Important Note: This workshop is not a step-by-step “paint-along.” You’ll work at your own pace while Anna moves around the room offering guidance, tips, and encouragement along the way.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi! I'm Anna — the Social Media Coordinator for the Melfort Arts Council since the summer of 2022. You might not see my name pop up often, but I'm busy working behind the scenes managing our Facebook, Instagram, and contributing to parts of the Melfort Arts Council website. It's a role I truly enjoy!

When I'm not coordinating social media, I love keeping creative and active in my free time. Some of my favourite things include painting, drawing, swimming, dancing, aerobics, and weight-lifting — so there's rarely a dull moment!

This will be my first time leading an art workshop, and I couldn't be more excited. I'm looking forward to sharing what I know and love about acrylic painting with all of you. Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking to try something new, I hope you leave feeling inspired. I can't wait to see you at the Historic Post Office!
